Natasha graduated from Trinity College in 2021 with a B.Sc. in Clinical Speech and Language Studies. Natasha also received two awards during her time at Trinity College:
• The Nora Dawson Mariakis Prize was awarded to Natasha for achieving the highest mark in the clinical practice module in the Junior Sophister year.
• The Otway-Freeman Award was awarded to Natasha for achieving the highest mark in the clinical practice module in the Senior Sophister year.
Natasha has experience in a variety of settings which include Early Intervention and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. On these placements, Natasha worked with children and adolescents from 0-18 years of age and was committed to providing a high-quality service that met the needs of the service user. This resulted in Natasha having experience with delivering individual and group therapy in person or via online platforms. Natasha recognizes the importance of supporting and empowering the parent or caregiver in their child’s therapy sessions and even developed and delivered an education and support group for the parents of children with ADHD.
Natasha adopts a Solution-Focused Approach in delivering Speech and Language Therapy. This practice involves Natasha viewing the client through a strengths-based lens and seeing the client as being more than their problem.
