Claire graduated in 2021 from Trinity College, Dublin with a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience across a broad range of service areas and cohorts including; long-term care for older adults, neuro-rehabilitation for under 65’s, community adult mental health, and most recently, children with physical and complex disabilities.

Her most recent experience in a paediatric service solidified her passion for working with children and their families to help enable them to engage in the occupations most meaningful for them. She has worked closely with children aged from 4 to 12 years with a variety of diagnoses such as; Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia/DCD and sensory processing difficulties. During this time Claire also developed and ran two virtual groups including a pre-writing group and a life-skills group, which were the first of their kind in the service.

Claire believes that a holistic approach to practice is essential by considering all environments in the child’s life. She has a particular interest in the school environment, striving to make it a more accessible learning environment for all children to reach their fullest potential.
